Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick | Celebrity Skin | swatches | review

For some reason I thought that I had already posted this blog - but I have just found it at the bottom of my drafts oops. So he is my swatches and review on the Jeffree star velour liquid lipstick aha.

I have seen the Jeffree star velour liquid lipsticks everywhere now, no matter what I am on whether that is Instagram, bloglovin or twitter I keep seeing it, so I thought I would bite the bullet and buy one, the most popular I have heard people rave about is the shade celebrity skin which is a beautiful nude shade, so that is the one that I picked up. I managed to order mine from cocktail cosmetics which is based in Birmingham and is a great makeup store that has many different makeup brands from the usa, which is great as it saves on postage and customs - which I hate with a passion!

Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara review | Benefit Roller lash dupe or not?

I am maybe a bit late on this makeup product as I have heard so many people rave about this mascara, but I have had so many mascaras open recently that I haven't had chance to try anything new, also I am normally the sort of girl that sticks to the same makeup products if I fall in love with them which is what happened with the benefit roller lash, until it ran out recently - I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to pick up the maybelline lash sensational mascara from my local boots, as I have heard so many people comparing it to benefits roller lash, so if you are interested in my review of this mascara carry on reading.

My 2016 Goals | New Years Resolutions

I am the kinda girl that likes setting goals and having something to work towards or achieve but last year I didn't set any goals or "new years resolution" and felt as though I wasn't being productive or achieving anything in life which starts to make me feel negative, therefore I thought that I would set some goals to achieve this year so that I have got something to work towards and feel proud of accomplishing something- if that makes sense aha!

About the blog...
1. Put More Effort Into My Blog - I feel that I really neglected my blog last year and kind of gave up with it in a way, but I came to realise that my blog is something that I am really proud of - its something to call my own, its something that I enjoy doing and if I was to put more effort into posting on a regular basis I know this blog could be considerably better.

2. Improve My Photography Skills - I know that my photography skills are not brilliant and I normally take hours trying to get the right picture for my blog or Instagram and find that the picture quality is still rubbish, therefore I am looking to invest in a better quality camera and the ditch the Iphone camera for good so that my picture quality improves.

3. To Post More Often On My Social Media - After scrolling through my social media I have found that I don't post often enough, so I am going to make the effort to post more on my social media.

3. Breaking Bad Makeup Habits - If you have already read my bad makeup habits post then you would know that there are some beauty habits that I do that I would like to break for 2016,

4. Buying a house - If you have been reading my blog from the beginning then you would know that I was "suppose" to be on a spending ban as I was saving up a deposit to buy my first home - so hopefully 2016 is the year that I buy my first home eeek!

5.Getting Healthy - After giving birth to my second child who is due in march, I am hoping to get healthy and lose the weight, I aiming to lose around 4 stone which does sound like a lot but I believe it is achievable. I think that by achieving this goal it will not only improve my confidence but will just make me more of a happy and positive person.

6. Start University - last year I applied for university and fortunately was offered a place on a nursing course,  but after finding out that I was pregnant with me second child I had to move my place to September 2016, so my goal is still to go to university this year.

I am looking forward to what 2016 will bring and hopefully I reach some or even all of the goals I have set and I hope the same for all of you!

hello everyone and welcome back to my blog I would like to start off by saying that I am sorry for the lack of posts on my blog lately, but I am now back and posting on a regular basis again. I also have some exciting news to share with you all ... and that is that I am expecting, I am literally over the moon to be pregnant again, and I have been told that I am going to have a little princess which is such great news but I may have to hide my makeup and put it up high when she gets older lol.

My Beauty Wishlist - NYX, E.L.F, Colourpop and Morhie Jacklyn Hill

I have been getting really frustrated lately as there are so many new beauty products that I want to try both high end and drugstore, but they are all American brands, and I find that they don't ship internationally or they do ship but there will be a big customs charge (like my Gerard cosmetics order) or they are out of stock. However my dad is going to Florida in a few months time so I have wrote him a list of beauty products I want him to pick up, so I thought I would share it with you girls and see if there are any other makeup products from America that you would recommend.

My April Favorites 2015 - Rimmel, Loreal, Sleek, Makeup Revolition, MAC and more

hello and welcome back to my blog today's post is my April favourites where I share what things I have been loving lately and been using all month. I would like to start off by saying I cant believe we are nearly in may I feel like this year is going to way to fast, but at least it means we are one month closer to summer.

Beauty tips and tricks Tuesday - Eyeliner

I love finding out new makeup tips and tricks which may make makeup application quicker or easy so here are my Eyeliner tips and tricks which I have been doing myself. Make sure to check out my mascara tips and tricks 

1. Use tape on a diagonal angle from the end of your eye meeting up with the end of your eyebrow when applying eye shadow or eyeliner, as this will allow you to create the perfect cat eye.

2. Line the water line with a white or nude eyeliner to make the eyes appear wider, it will also help to make your look more awake.

3. Tight line or line the upper lash line with a black eyeliner, this will add definition to your eyes and make your lashes appear thicker and darker.

4. Use concealer to clean up you eyeliner whether you make a mistake or you want the eyeliner to look more sharp and accurate. 

5. Turn your Kohl eyeliner into a gel eyeliner by holding the tip of the eyeliner above a flame for a few seconds. 

Beauty Tips and tricks Tuesday - Mascara

hello beauty lovers I hope you are all doing well, I decided to try something new on my blog called beauty tips tuesday where I can share with you different beauty tips and tricks which I love doing. Therefore todays beauty tips are for using mascara

1. If your mascaras have dried up then store them in a container of hot water, which should make them become thinner and like brand new. 

2. To prevent clumps on the eyelashes (unless you like the spider leg look like me) wipe the excess mascara onto a piece of tissue, and wiggle your brush side to side at the base of your lashes. 

3. If you want to voluminous thick lashes then coat both sides of your lashes with mascara, and for the bottom lashes (which can be tricky if your mascara wand is huge) turn the brush vertically to make sure you pick up every lash. You can also add baby powder after each application of mascara to make them appear thicker.

4.If you have ran out or don't own a liquid/gel eyeliner then you can use your mascara as an eyeliner, all you have to do is run it across the mascara wand to pick up product and use it as you would a gel eyeliner. 

5. If your mascara goes onto the upper eyelid and you don't want to ruin your eyeshadow, always wait for the mascara to dry then use a cotton bud to remove the mascara.

March Favourites 2015

I have been loving so many makeup products over the past few months so I thought I would share with you my favourites and also share with you other things I have been loving the past months which are not beauty related at the end.

Mother's Day Gift Ideas - Beauty And Fragrance Edition

Mother's day is sunday 15th march and if you are stuck for gift ideas for your mother then carry on reading for beauty gift ideas at affordable prices.

When going shopping in town today all I could see was signs with mother's day gifts and sales especially in Debenhams as they had 10% off fragrances, free next day deliver (which is great if you leave everything to the last minute like me) and also a £5 gift card if you spend over £40 (beauty card holders only), which I think is great as you could keep it for yourself or give it as part of the gift to your mother. Therefore whether your mother is more for beauty products of fragrances Debenhams is a great place to go. So both my mother and nan love the brand Estee lauder and at the moment in Debenhams if you buy two Estee lauder items you will receive a free gift, in addition to any two lancome purchases.
